Most Common FAQs for Vancouver Facelift
Here are the questions we hear most often from patients throughout Vancouver and British Columbia. If your question isn’t listed, we’re always happy to help—just reach out.
1. What is the difference between a full facelift and a mini facelift? A full facelift (rhytidectomy) comprehensively rejuvenates the mid-face, jowls, and neck by tightening deeper tissues and removing excess skin for long-lasting, natural results. A mini facelift is a less invasive option with smaller incisions, ideal for early signs of aging and offering a quicker recovery. During your consultation we will carefully examine your face and listen to your goals to recommend the approach that will look most beautiful and harmonious on you.
2. What is recovery like after a facelift or neck lift? Most patients plan for 10–14 days of social downtime. Swelling and bruising are greatest around days 2–3 and improve significantly by day 10. Stitches are usually removed at one week. Light activities can resume within a couple of weeks, and full exercise at 4–6 weeks. We provide detailed aftercare instructions, medications, and 24/7 access to our team to make your recovery as comfortable and smooth as possible.
3. How much does a facelift cost in Vancouver? Every patient and procedure is unique, so costs vary depending on the extent of surgery and any additional procedures (neck lift, eyelid surgery, etc.). All fees are fully transparent and include the surgeon, anesthesiologist, accredited private facility, and all follow-up care. Please contact our office or book a consultation for your personalized quote.
4. Am I a good candidate for facelift or neck lift surgery? Ideal candidates are healthy individuals (usually 40s–70s) with realistic expectations who are bothered by sagging skin, jowls, or loss of jawline definition. Good overall health and reasonable skin elasticity help achieve the best outcomes. A personal consultation is the best way for us to evaluate your facial structure, medical history, and goals to confirm you’re a great candidate.
5. Is facelift surgery safe? What are the risks? When performed by a board-certified facial plastic surgeon in an accredited facility, facelift surgery has an outstanding safety record. Potential risks (infection, bleeding, scarring, or temporary nerve sensitivity) are rare and are minimized through careful pre-operative screening, modern techniques, and attentive post-operative care. Your safety and a natural, refreshed appearance are always our highest priorities.
Still have questions? The consultation fee is applied toward your procedure if you choose to move forward with surgery. Contact our office anytime or book your consultation today—we look forward to meeting you.
